Summer things to see
Life in a pond is an adventure of eating or being eaten.
With the exception of the water-snails, those creatures are carnivorous.
The fiercest of them is the great water-beetle, which was going to tear a tadefrog to pieces.
Almost as fierce, though rarer, is the great silver water-beetle.
Both these beetles can fly, and so can move from pond to pond
