 There’s one golden rule of foraging: if you don’t know what it is, don’t eat it.

Thimbleberry  has a shelf life of about a nanosecond, so you’ll never see it in a farmers market,

 

it's soft berry slumps off the berry and into your mouth like it’s already been made into a sweet, tannic jam.

 

So delicious and  so organic ... and so illegal, lovely.

 

 The foraging as an ancient art  has exploded in popularity recently especially in the United States of America.

 

foraging wild foods for they can  lower blood pressure and ease aching joints without prescription drugs.
