The technology we use today is the technology of capitalism, driven by greed, and increasingly owned by billionaires.

This technology - from its earliest origins - was designed to defeat the "laws of nature" and allow us to escape the restrictions of habitat, and ultimately escape the laws of evolution.

As we race towards 2 degrees warming - and we are told that if we hit 2 degrees, 4 degrees is guaranteed - we enter a world where the humans and their machines have lost control.

The relationships that tie societies together will be ripped apart, and the massive disruptions to economies and societies will defy any machine's comprehension.

The key point is, that capitalism will not survive 2 or 3 or 4 degrees warming.

Estimates are, that to "re-adjust" the world back to a sustainable future, we need to decrease population back to 1950 levels and return 60% of farmland back to habitat - this is entirely beyond the reach of capitalism - the system that delivered us to this cliff edge will not save us from falling over.

And we haven't even got to the bizarre diseases that GW will release or the wars about food (remembering that "Arab Spring" was initiated by a climate driven food shortage).

So, get ready.
