Yesterday I met this man yesterday at a bus stop in Gourock.
He was there on a Sunny Spring morning with his wife.
His wife was wearing a lovely beige cashmere knee length jacket.
He was looking happy after having just attending a Doctors visit.
He and his wife were very happy being in Scotland.
They had only been in Scotland for a month and a half
Previously to being in Scotland he had worked in Afghanistan.
He had been working with the Scottish Army.
A translator from Scots to Afghani. Marvellous
Now he has already found a job in electrical technis.
His wife is now attending a course at college to learn English
He told me how the Taliban had captured him.
The Taliban had tortured him.
Luckily he managed to escape.
I wished the two of them luck as they returned to Greenock.
Greenock in Scotland is now home to them.
We are lucky that we have nice people to come to live here.
Bringing with them poetry, fashion, smiles and happiness.
