A declaration of the dignity of the individual mind.
A philosophy that saw self-possession as the key to an existence lived "in accordance with nature",
Stoicism called for restraint of animal instincts and severing of emotional ties.
An unsympathetic creed was to transform it into an inspiring declaration of the dignity of the individual mind.
strange for most of us that to be "Stoic" is a way used to describe people who would not really show their emotions .
The Greek/Roman philosophy of Stoicism was really a way to make people happy.
They taught them to control their negative emotions.
An attempt to minimise sadness from life. to accentuate happiness
