A nation of curmudgeons

We've become very polarised.

Everything has been reduced

to a binary choice -

them and us,

black & white,

for us or against us.

We no longer possess

the generosity of spirit

to see beyond our own

"strongly held beliefs".

I am right

and they are wrong.

If you don't agree

with that statement,

then you're wrong too!

We're in danger

of becoming a nation of curmudgeons
