(way before today)

foreign made goods had a mystique.

Also France could not compete

with West Yorkshire textiles.

 So Paris

built their brands

around fashion

and what was chic,

not function.

It was a successful move.

For some reason Paris

and its broad boulevards

had an edge over Bradford,

Keighley,

Leeds etc.

and their dark satanic mills....
