Lockdown walks are often better and much more peaceful in the evening... I enjoy seeing families with young children in the afternoon, but don't enjoy having to dodge mad runners at times and have met badly behaved dogs (and their owners), when walking on more urban paths. I'm fortunate to be able to walk in the Forest where there is plenty of space for all - certainly a favourite place to escape at present.
I'm enjoying the birdsong more than ever. The blackbirds (my favourite birds) seem to be more prominent than ever (or am I just more aware of them?) - perhaps they are enjoying the lockdown. They seem to be singing much more during the day, although with so much less traffic, perhaps we just hear them more easily. But it's the loud, liquid singing in the quiet of the evening that I really love. And bees are having (ahem) a field day. Record honey production in France, as they keep telling us on the evening news.
