What is this disruptive technology

Nowadays it seems to be the  par for the course for all of the so called 'disruptive technology' it disrupts but mainly to put huge amounts of money into the hands of a very few people. Facebook, Google,Tripadvisor, Airbnb, and many more start out as apparently benign software platforms before morphing into controlling monsters. The software industry in general is out of control the general product quality is low, they release products far too early in the development cycle leaving their customers to beta test them. The whole idea of customer service is lost on them, try finding a contact page for Google or Facebook, they do not want to be contacted
