"Rage, rage against the dying of the light”
wrote Dylan Thomas about passing years,
and so should we as we face the might
of Father Time and the many fears
that life can bring, though we may not write
a wondrous tale that’s bereft of tears,
we should, at least, take a stand and fight
to do what we can, forging new frontiers,
with hope as our beacon, still burning bright
like morning skies when the sun appears
to banish the gloom of the darkest night,
for days will come when the sorrow clears
and our “frail deeds” have the chance to right
the wrongs that have blighted our brief careers,
and that’s when Thomas’s words take flight:

“Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.”
