Drones: The story of modern warfare

Drones that are wee, cheap, unmanned and are a really hard-to-detect aircraft this is  transforming conflicts  and war throughout the world.

In our new modern warfare,  it has been the story that those that owned  the sky would  win the war.

 So it has been that countries have devoted tens of billions to building modern air forces, confident they will continue to give their  army the  best technology  so that they can win any war.

 There is now a question as to the  ownership of the skies and the lethal threat that the drone air force  now pose.

it can also provide some anoymnity

 We can see this even with the   Israeli military that even being  armed with the latest fast jets and precision weaponry, yet it has turned to its fleet of drones to hit targets in Syria.

Which they can then even deny

 this  comes from the  ability of drones to elude radar and therefore keep targets guessing about who actually bombed them

 Israeli leaders can does so has prevent going  into an open conflict.

The cost of  having consequential war is  now not so high.

Just now  for  just the cost  of a drone or a few drones  some extreme damage can be done against any foe.
