Autumn in New England or Dundee

Like all seasons,

Autumn is fantastic

when the sun is out

and a dreary colourless misery of wet leaves and mud

when it's raining.

Absolutely magic in New England

where it's still t-shirt weather for most of the season.

Not so great on a cold wet day in Dundee.

The last day of Summer when it's still sunny but the leaves are on the turn is great in Dundee.

Crisp air, choppy Tay,

hint of melancholy in the air

because we're all gonnae be huddled in pubs

and front rooms drinking whisky for four months...
