They adjusted their systems, but not performance targets, and there was an increase or stable rates of productivity. So, depending on the workplace and will of managers, it is totally doable.

As long as there are changes to systems and process that support it happening.

What occurs in most workplaces is, they introduce changes that make work more efficient,

and then they work out that they actually need less staff.
