March: Spring Arriving

Here it is in March and sunshine warms the earth.

Outside the grand bulbs are popping their heads.

Different sounds from the trees as birds return

Their songs have been soundly carried far away

Yet now this glorious Spring morn brings joy.

Seedlings of the Lavender still inside grow slowly

Happy that our garden will have a Lavender scent

Spring Lavender is in pots and will remain there.

For when it was planted out in the garden it failed.

Learning that the Rainy West Coast of Scotland

Is a tough area for Lavender and I should have prepared.

Still Spring is filled with Plans of great expectations
