Giving Lavender as a gift

So Yesterday I gave Lavender to my violin teacher
It was a seedling that has now grown four centimetres
It was alone in a medium pot because I had separated it.
I had made a small paper label which I had sellotaped it to a straw
The wee label announcing that it was a Lavender plant stuck beside it.
It was protected by a clear plastic cut-off bottle which acted like a green-house.
Anyhow I had told about my lavender seedlings to the violin teacher
She thought it would be lovely to see how they are since three weeks have past by
Three weeks sitting on the window-sill and now ready to face the world
This little lavender pot got a lot of attention before I could give it away as a gift.
Amidst the ooohs and aaahs were the heart-breaking moment that many a girl
thought that the gift was for them and were jealous that the violin teacher got it.
Luckily more than thirty seedlings have become like a harem on the window-sill
So I can give them away to the pleasure of many an appreciative friend.
All is good as the sun peeps through the clouds this morning.
