The very first version of "Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" R.L. Stevenson (1886) was a four act play Stage Production in 1887 The play debuted in Boston, MA in May 1887, and a revised version opened on Broadway in September of that year. An actor named Richard Mansfield played the dual characters, Dr Henry Jekyll and Mr Edward Hyde
