Sociopaths in Business

Most corporations are run by sociopaths,

and Amazon is no different.

No business should be allowed to exist

if they refuse to pay their workers a living wage.

They have no special right

that entitles them to make their profits,

not so much on the goods and services they offer, but rather on the difference

between a living wage and what they pay.

Some people could say that businesses

would go bankrupt if they paid living wages,

but that should  be considered.

If a business can't afford to pay a living wage,

it has a terrible business model

and shouldn't be subsidised by the taxpayers.

If necessary a business then should go bankrupt, then, and get out of the way for someone smarter who can figure out how to make a profit without exploiting either the workers or the taxpayers.

The corporate elite are always

and forever demanding

that everyone else be responsible for themselves and take responsibility for their actions and own life, but like to punish what they see as irresponsible behaviour (like taking time off to care for sick kids)

in every manner they can think of.

Often many of the big corporations won't ever

take responsibility for the things they do,

like destroying the environment

(for, good environmental practices are expensive, cut into their profits,

and anyway, that's what taxpayer

supported Super funds are there  for:

to pay for cleaning up their toxic messes),

causing illnesses from cancers

to heart attacks to suicides,

or the social costs of minimum wage,

zero hour contracts.

Were the bankers who crashed the economy

by gambling and fraud held accountable?

No.

Did they accept any degree of responsibility?

Oh, definetly no.

Are the drug company executives, doctors,

and insurance executives

held accountable for the opiod crisis?

For those that are  out of their minds

is great for big business?

Pushing addictive drugs is very profitable,

and a good chunk of those profits

are shared with politicians

eager not to upset the gravy train.

Sociopaths do not care about society, others,

or accepting responsibility,

and sociopaths are in control of the US

these days in every position that counts.
