It has been my contention that, since the late 1990s, Oasis provides the soundtrack to hell. I clearly remember being trapped in a shopping mall where all the "youth oriented" clothing stores were independently playing the song "Champagne Supernova" -- of course they were all out of sync. I knew then I had died and gone to hell.
Oasis ? Rather, Einstürzende Neubauten in the drawing room with the French windows open to a chill north east wind, savouring the Stockhausenesquian unrounded corners of industrial granite crystalline post rock music concrete, while sipping green tea and smoking a Sobranie in an exquisite antique ivory cigarette holder. Plover’s eggs and a mixed sorrel salad later.
They were terrible 25 years ago, and I understand since Liam's "singing" has become even more execrable.
And Noel is still only on page 7 of "Burt Weedons First Book of Chords".
