Wednesday: A day to buy books

Wednesday.

Soon will be the holiday time for spending in the mountains and then on the beaches.

A good time for being with friends that we see on this marvellous Holiday, friendly time.

So this is the time to prepare, and a regular visit, to the library but, this for holiday books.

Then a visit to the local bookshop, and stack on books to read and to give as a gifts.

The bookshop knows me well and have always put by books for me to first peruse.

I quickly look at them and murmur yes, yes, yes, and ask them if they would like doughnuts.

I tell them to put the kettle on for a nice cup of tea whilst popping into the next shop.

I return with tasty apples and some fresh tasty scrumptious doughnuts.

Then sit amongst their books to eat and drink and friendly banter with gossip.

They will close on the weekend for they too will be going off for their Summer holiday.

All is well as I buy lots more books so as to overfill my rucksack and so use the bicycle basket.
