Porpoises, dolphins and whales

Porpoises, dolphins and whales are often seen by myself with I take the wee ferry across the water.

Porpoises, dolphins and whales, which are all members of the whale family, look like fishes and live like fishes, yet they are mammals, because they nourish their young on their mothers' milk.

They have adapted themselves completely  to life in the sea; their forelegs have become flippers, hind-legs have disappeared and tails have become full fish-tails.

Sometimes the dolphins even swim from the Firth of the Clyde down the city of Glasgow.

I was on a ferry from Hatteres Island to Orokocke Island on the coast of North Carolina where I saw dolphins for the first time. They raced along side the ferry. Friendly animals
