 Virtually nothing about conventional music education, and not knowing how to teach singing.  It was a pleasure to discover The Langley Schools Music Project

Children have a grasp of what they like: emotion, drama, and making music as a group.

Whether the results were good, bad, in tune or out was no big deal -- they can  have élan.

It is not great the way music is  traditionally taught.

 Conventional 'children's music,' can be condescending and ignore the reality of children's lives, which can be dark and scary.

Children often  hate'cute.' 

They often  cherish songs that evoke loneliness and sadness
