I was just cycling in this forest path with I noticed the bare roots showing up.

It is quite unusual for normally the roots are buried in the earth

Is that a flooding marker to the right? Looks like an enormous amount of water erosion caused by water cascading over a denuded path. Should have kept the plant cover...
