| ||Celia led the walk today through orchards dappled light|
Past Chantry School where ancient stones reveal the Silurian fault
" It wasn't my fault miss "
"Class dismissed "
If only it were that easy, absolution of all sin, leaving still a chance to win.
To recall the spent arrows that never should have left the bow.
But on we go
The Ridgeway gleams in azure light, our legs are aching from the climb
But then the verdant vale displays a treasury of Springtime flowers.
The distant hills,Black Mountains, sugared white by overnight snow.
But on we go.
We pause where the Teme meets the weir
And talk in low voices, so as not to disturb the tranquillity of the day.
But once again we're on our way
Grateful that Celia led the walk today.
