The Norman Castles

The Saxons did not like the Normans.

However the Saxons had lost their leaders.

They had lost in the Battle of Hastings.

So it was difficult for the Saxons to organise.

To organise a fight against the Normans.

Duke William of Normandy was worried.

 That the Saxons would cause problems.

So the Normans built castles.

They built castles outside Saxon towns.

Norman castles filled with Norman soldiers.

Prepared to stop Saxons make an army.
