An Ode to Robert Burns

Rabbie the randy Rat,

wore a customs man's uniform

and a customs man's hat,

He was busting poor people for smuggling,

the only reason they were smuggling,

was because they were struggling.

Well Robert Burns

If I was in charge of Scotland

I would have all your statues

pulled down and reduced to rubble.

Because to the poor people of your time

you were nothing more than trouble.

And as for your wee cottage

I would have it pulled down

and a laybye put in,

Because really Robert Burns

yir no worth remembering.

"Scots quha hae auld Rabbie read, Aye, harkit till thair lugs hae bled, Hie defeatit tae thair beds, Nae tae victory."daughterofAlbion:I hope you can recognise the tune that should be sung to! And that you do not mind my adding it here - daughterofAlbion:was inspired by John McVey contribution. :-)
