The Nudge theory

The key issues in the C19th were 'nudged' and then finally legislated against, as the wealthy won't be nudged out of their privilege

Child Labour

Food Contamination

Supply of clean water and decent sewerage

Old Age Pensions

Employees' Accident Insurance

All these things started with permissive or weakly framed legislation - all failed.

Fundamental change requires determination.

We need a Lloyd George, we need a Leonard Horner, we need an Aneurin Bevan if we intend to solve our deep rooted social inequality, Not the politicians who recognise  the problems, but have no guts to solve them
