A painting depicting a smiling President Reagan in blue jeans and cowboy hat astride a white horse was confiscated by Russian officials
It was a painting by Louisiana artist George Rodrigue,
It had hung briefly in a private food restaurant in Moscow .
"Russians don't understand American art. They just don't know how to read this," said George Rodrigue. "They don't appreciate that this is an individual's artistic interpretation, something not permitted here."
