The immersion in Duolingo is now history

A critical part of Duolingo that  was the translation immersion

has now been discarded

Duolingo is a real and vibrant community with the immersion.

The immersion helped mutual help, understanding and genuine friendships

Based on this lovely shared passion for languages

Immersion encouraged a unique combination 

of learning, translation, interaction and a native feedback

Immersion is gone along with Activity streams which means there is no reason for long time users to continue with Duolingo. Ahh the generals; they are numerous, but not good for much.
